Birthday dinner venting revisited.....

Thanks for listening to me vent about my husbands lack of birthday planning. He really is a great husband and father. I feel bad about raking him through the coals. I really didn't expect much on my birthday, I just didn't expect to be hanging out at Home Depot and Pets Mart, especially when we only have 1 fish and no other animals! But I had to stop and remind myself that we had a great dinner and talked about how lucky we are to have each other and that we really don't have any marital issues, except for the norm and we still really like each other as people! We have the same wants for our children and we really stick together when it comes to pretty much everything.
So honey, I am sorry. I really am Blessed to have had a great steak dinner, a chocolate extreme blizzard and a HOT date for my birthday present! LOVE~

Oh...We all knew he was a great hubby and daddy! We just know you are pretty wonderful to! As a woman I know that it sometimes feels like we need more. We are an emotional lot!

Every year I let my husband know way ahead of time if I want my birthday made into a big deal or not. He's not the kinda of guy who picks up on subtlety. This year, he called my boss and took the day off of work for me and we spent thd day together. It was great. But, this was to make up for last year which sounded a lot like yours.

My daughter was born a week before Mother's Day in 2007. On Mother's Day, we went to church with her, and everyone asked me what my hubby had done for me. They were asking him, too. He was mortified because he didn't realize that I was a "mother". I wasn't "his mother" so it had never occurred to him that he needed to at least get me a card. But, he learned his lesson. :)

Sometimes men need their hands held. :)

Yeah, sometimes men just don't get this right-the birthday things and all! If you read my blog last year you saw how my birthday went! At least you got more than I did!
Glad to know I'm not alone! ♥

Did you say "chocolate extreme blizzard". I'd keep him, at least he feeds you well!

awww.. of course he is a great hubby and daddy. I swear, sometimes, I just have to remind myself that men don't think like we do. We have to really tell them what we want or they just don't get it!!
