what have I gotten myself into????

You are now looking (well not really, you can't see me) at the new Manager for my 5 year old twins T-Ball team. What the heck have I gotten myself into?

I must be crazy

I think that I may have lost my marbles.

I told the 'guy' in charge that I would do it if he got me a coach and a sponsor. But since I am going to be at every practice and game anyway, whats the difference? I also bribed him to make sure that the twins don't have games at the same time as Macy....he said, "I can do that." So I said okay.

I still think that I must be crazy.....

***sigh*** Please pray for me.

So in honor of Mothers Day.....coming up.....kinda in the near future. Anyway this cracked me up and creeped me out all at the same time!! The shorts, the fact that there are only 2 microphones and 3 ladies singing.....all of it! funny!

Our Crazy Weekend......

So it started off with a Birthday party and ended with a really good steak!
Friday night I went to Airake's and celebrated Natalie's Birthday! It was a blast. I have never been to one of those restaurants that they throw rice at you and chop/cook food in front of you. It was lots of fun!
Saturday it was up at 6 am to head to Jefferson City so Macy's Destination Imagination Team could compete in the Regional Tourney. Had to be there at 8:45 am and left around 6:30 pm and stopped for dinner so it was a looooonnnnnggggg day! But totally worth it since the won FIRST PLACE!!!!! So now we are off to Joplin, Mo. in April to compete in the State Tourney. If we place first or second at State then the next level is Globals at the University of Tennesse! We took fourth in State last year. These kids have so much fun that I don't care how far they make it. I just love that they are learning and having a good time at the same time!kWhile Macy and I were at Regionals, Geoff took his nephews to Monster Jam for some boy time. God, knows he needs that with all the girls here at the house! He said that they did go to the bathroom more in the few hours that they were there than the girls would have needed to go in a 12 hour period......but he still had fun!!
So up early Sunday morning.....of to church and then 2 kid birthday parties at 1 pm. Geoff took the twins to their friend Logan's 5th Birthday and I took Macy to her friends party. Busy Busy times. Got home threw some steaks on the grill and wa-la.....dinner. I love grilling when its only 35-40 degrees, but it was well worth it! Marinted them in little soy sauce, worcestshire, garlic, and montreal steak seasoning. Supa' good.(thats how Sophie says it!)

say what? weave?

I just had to share this.....thanks to Nat for finding the best useless info ever! I just love it!

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Police in Kansas City, Mo., said a woman's tight hair weave stopped a bullet, rescuing her from injury and likely saving her life.
Officers said they arrived at the Country View Market at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday to find the woman's boyfriend had allegedly shot out the back window of a car, KSHB-TV, Kansas City, reported Thursday.
Investigators said the woman wasn't injured after her hair weave stopped the bullet and her boyfriend was taken into custody.

Annie ~ The Movie Revisited

So when I was little I watched Annie prolly everyday. I still have the VHS tape from when we lived on Butler Military Base, in Okinawa Japan. It was 'copied' at the video store....I have a bunch of those illegal movies.....anyway. I even had the album! Remember those? I am sure that I even wanted red curly hair too!!!
Thanks to technology and grandma's my girls now own a DVD of Annie. They love it. But after sitting with them and watching it as an adult in this day in age, I have to forward through Mrs. Hannagan's drunken song while fully clothed in the bathtub and some other scenes that I never would have thought as a child were anything to worry about. But as an adult I don't want my girls to think that ladies run around walking funny and falling into bathtubs singing horribly. Am I over reacting? Since the twins are only 5 and Sophie is 2, I really don't think that I have that much to worry about. Macy, 9 would much rather be watching something else, but who knows, I caught her watching Clifford the other day because she was too lazy to get up and change the channel......she couldn't find the remote! We actually have it hidden because the TV downstairs is programed to certain channels and you have to use the remote to watch the regular channels....make sense? Anyway. I guess I need to find them a soundtrack for the movie. I think that they love the music the best...and after all these years I am amazed that I remember all the words to almost every song!! So maybe I need the CD for me too.......hmmm. Since I don't know how to download music and don't have an IPod, then I may have to search amazon.com
Any suggestions?

A Thousand Word Thursday

This is from last weekend. I wish that Sophie was standing instead of Geoff holding her. We were at the river Eagle watching and I just love shadow shots and thought the light was just perfect.....So from left to right, Geoff holding Sophie, Kaelyn, Emma, Macy and me.

long weekend......

So for the first time in years, we celebrated Valentine's day. Maybe its the Love Dare book, who knows. But my hubby planned a nice afternoon lunch on Friday the day before, 3 o'clockish at Chili's using the gift cards that I won from the Chili cook-off at church 2 weeks ago. I know that he was being smart. If we would have gone on Sat, it would have been too crowded and we never would have gotten a seat. We would have had to tote the 4 girls along with us since its my MIL's birthday on Valentine's Day. I am not complaining at all. It always sounds like I am, doesn't it? Anyway. He got me a necklace. Its a very nice cross. He didn't even get me a birthday present! Like I said, maybe its the Love Dare book, maybe not. After close to 6 years of marriage maybe he is just realizing that he better get on board with that kind of stuff or else. Either that or he is buttering me up for something......um. So I also drug him to the book store and Tuesday Morning and he did not even complain.....we picked up the girls around 630 and went home. We watched about 4 movies over the weekend, I can't remember which one we watched that night, but it was a nice afternoon date. I totally enjoyed it.
So I spent Saturday cleaning the house, working at church and being mom. Sunday was Birthday party day...The MIL is getting old. Whats better than fried chicken after church on Sunday? With a little Birthday cake and a song? So at church it was the last message in a series called "Bringing Sexy Back". It was the best message out of the series, and I was glad to not have missed it. If you are interested at all.....click here and go to Feb-14/15 and click on the mp3 all the way on the right. Its all about sex.
So Monday, Presidents Day was spent honoring our presidents past, of course. We went Eagle Watching. Bald Eagle searching is more like it. We saw lots of them! It was cold, wee bit windy. I have a sniffle today. But the kids loved it and we had a great family day. Here are some pictures from our weekend adventures....

Clarksville, Mo.

This was the closest picture that we got. We even saw him poop. We thought he was going to take flight, but even gave us another show instead. The girls sure thought it was funny.

A Thousand Word Thursday

Yep. We are taking the challenge. I read the book, saw the movie and to be brutaly honest, thought, we don't need this! We are perfect! Yeah well I don't know what made me change my mind, but we are doing it and I am loving it. So I'll let you know from time to time how its going!
Hop on over to The Mom Jen's site for more ATWT!
******UPDATE: So many of you have no idea what this is even about...so here's my blurb of an explanation......
The movie FireProof. The couple is going to get divorced and the guys father challenges him to do this 40 day challenge to get his wife back. The challenge is called the Love Dare.....So if you had posters of Kirk Cameron up in your room when you were younger you might not be able to watch the movie, since he stars in it, but the premise is awesome. I suggest reading FireProof first.
Geoff fell asleep while watching the movie because the acting was so bad. But he got the idea. Then in my MOPS group we decorated these little boxes and we had the tasks on paper, we cut them out into little strips and folded all 40 and put them in the box. I was not sure whether or not I was going to even use it. But I got a wild hair and stuck it in Geoff's work bag....he would hate it if I called it a briefcase....anyway. He never mentioned it for 4 days or so, finally I brought it up and he said he was waiting for me to explain it to him. I figured that he threw it away. So the following day he pulled a 'note' out of the box and emailed it to me. We decide if its something that we need to discuss and work on or if we even have issues in that area. We keep an open dialog about the 'note' most of the day and its been fun. Some of the tasks are no brainers, but there are some that we need to work on and implement into our lives. We moved the TV and computer out of our bedroom, because its such a distraction. Mostly a distraction between our communication. Everything that we always talk about is centered around our kids and its hard to talk to each other about each other after the kids are in bed and we have the TV and computer to get in the way. So that is one sacrifice that each of us has made for each other. We take the weekends off. But you both have to want to do it. And sometimes its not easy and very uncomfortable. But over all I have really gotten something out of it.

So we are not perfect after all.......darn.

That's my soap box about it. Hope that it makes sense.

I'M Back.........Not-Me Monday 1st Edition...

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week. I have always wanted to participate and I figured this would be a good way to ease myself back in the saddle, so to speak!

I most certainly have NOT blogged in over a week.

I have NOT had to make 4 trips to the Dr, Specialist and Urgent care in the past week and a half for 3 of my girls.

I am NOT listening to my girls singing karaoke, Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman, right now and tearing up.

I have NOT been at odds with myself and question my moodiness and wonder if I need some professional help.

I did NOT most certainly win the prize for Best Presentation and People's Choice at the Chili Cook-Off at Church this past Friday night!!!!!! What? What did I win, you ask? Gift card to Chili's restaurant, of course!

I have NOT been overbooked with things that I have signed up for!! I have a commitment everyday this week. Today is my only day off!

I did NOT sign 3 of my girls up for T-ball and softball for this spring season! Its going to be busy!

I most certainly did NOT enjoy the 65-70 degree temps that we had the past few days and are supposed to continue to have into the week..

During the heat wave I did NOT let the little ones play in the sand box and back yard and get totally muddy!

At last but not least....I just now did NOT have to stop what I was doing and clean up a pee-pee mess from my 2 year old that is wearing big girl panties.....ugh.

......Today is Monday, right?!?!
